Barcelona is thought to be considering offering Messi a lifetime deal at the Camp Nou.

Earlier this month, newspapers in Spain simultaneously reported that Barcelona was preparing to open negotiations to renew a new contract with star 1, Messi. The reason is because the Argentine striker is entering the last two years of the contract with the Catalan giants.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca is about to offer Messi a lifetime contract to ensure that the 32-year-old will end his career in the club's home team. If it comes true, this will be the most rare contract in the history of world football.

Last season, Messi has scored 51 goals in a total of 50 appearances for Barca in every arena. If counting from the first team debut in 2004, Messi has won more than 600 goals for the Catalans.

Currently, Messi has yet to join forces with his teammates in Barca during the summer tour after just joining Argentina in the Copa America 2019 held in Brazil recently.
